Ekrivo Privacy Policy

Effective date: 21 October 2026 · Policy version: 2026-10-21

Ekrivo casts compatible videos, photos and web media from an Android phone to Chromecast and Google TV. This policy describes how the Android application processes information. Ekrivo does not require an account and does not display advertising.

Information processed on your device

These items are stored on your device. Browser history and saved pages can be cleared in Settings. Uninstalling Ekrivo removes its local app data, without deleting your original media files. App data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.

Casting and websites

When you cast, selected media addresses or local relay data can travel over your local network to the receiver you choose. Websites opened in the in-app browser receive requests made by their own pages, including cookies you allow. Google Play services and your receiver may process information under their own policies.

Analytics and crash reports

Ekrivo uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to measure feature reliability and receive crash and non-fatal error reports. Cast diagnostics can include public website and media-server domains, media format, receiver model, transfer mode, failure stage, technical reason and HTTP status when available. Only domains are sent, without URL paths, parameters, fragments, credentials or ports. Cast reports exclude local network addresses, full media URLs, media titles, Cast receiver names and local filenames. Passwords, cookies, access tokens, authorization values and email addresses are excluded from diagnostic fields. Ekrivo does not upload the saved browsing-history database; diagnostic domains identify the website involved in a Cast attempt. Advertising ID collection and ad-personalization signals are disabled.

Firebase SDKs also process their standard app, device and installation information, including app version, device model, operating system version, crash stack traces, app interactions and installation identifiers. Analytics may also derive approximate location, such as country or city, from a masked IP address; Ekrivo does not request GPS location permission. This information is used to diagnose faults and understand feature reliability. Google processes this information as the Firebase service provider; processing may take place outside your country. See Firebase privacy and security and Google's Privacy Policy for details.

Support reports

Ekrivo does not upload support reports to its own server. From the app you can prepare a message in your email client. Nothing is sent automatically; you review the message and decide whether to send it. An email address and technical diagnostics are optional. Diagnostics in a support email are limited to app/device metadata and do not include passwords, cookies, access tokens, browsing history, full media URLs, local filenames or receiver names. You may describe the affected public page in your own message to help us reproduce a fault. Review links before sending; do not include private or signed addresses.

Unsent report drafts remain on the device for up to seven days and can be cleared from the support form. Messages sent through your email provider are handled according to your email provider's policies.

Your choices

Retention and requests

Local browsing data remains until you clear it or uninstall the app. Unsent support drafts expire after seven days. Submitted support messages are retained as needed to investigate and respond to your request, and to meet applicable legal obligations. Automatic diagnostic records follow the Firebase services' retention settings. You can contact us about access, correction or deletion of information in a support message. Automatic records do not contain an account identifier that lets us reliably find a specific person's reports.
